Вид урока: урок-путешествие.
Цели урока:

• Обучающие:

• отработать и закрепить лексику по теме в игровой форме;
  • познакомить  с  традициями празднования Нового Года в Великобритании и России  ;

• Развивающие:

• создать благоприятные условия для праздника;
• развивать у учащихся воображение, творческие способности;
• способствовать развитию словесно-логического мышления;
• способствовать умению общаться на иностранном языке;

• Воспитательные:
  • воспитание у   обучающихся интереса и уважения к культуре и традициям ;
  • формировать у учащихся навыки группового взаимодействия;
  • формировать у детей положительное отношение к иностранному языку;

ПК CD MP3 с песней “Jingle Bells;

Подготовительный этап:

1. Создание текстов  “Traditions of celebrating New Year in Russia, Great  Britain ;
2. Деление класса на  2 группы;
3. Каждой группе предложены тексты, учащиеся сами выбирают понравившеюся тему;
4. Индивидуальная работа с учащимися:

• Инструктаж по работе с текстами;
• Помощь учащимся в создании презентаций по теме “Traditions of celebrating New Year in Russia and Great  Britain”.

1. Организационный этап : Hello, boys and girls. We are very glad to see you.
Мотивационный этап :
Звучит песня “Jingle Bells”.
Учитель английского языка: Oh, listen! What is it? It is a song. What season do you associate this song with? С каким временем года у вас ассоциируется эта песня? (Зима, Winter)
–And what is your favourite winter holiday? (New Year) Of course, New Year.
 Знакомство с целями и задачами урока.
Учитель английского языка :
Сегодня  у нас необычный урок , мы с вами отправимся в виртуальное путешествие. Давайте определимся с маршрутом нашего путешествия.
1 Какой иностранный  язык вы изучаете в школе ?(английский)
Кто знает, в какой стране английский является официальным языком ?
( в Великобритании). Посмотрите на глобус и найдите Великобританию.
Вы знаете столицу Великобритании ? (Лондон)
Первая остановка у нас будет Лондон.
Today we have an unusual lesson, a lesson of travelling and we shall make a tour to some countries and visit New Year parties there. So letיs decide the route of our travelling.

• Now tell me please what foreign language do you study at school? (English)
• Who knows what country is English spoken as the official language? (Great Britain). Look at the map and your globes and try to find Great Britain.
• Do you know the capitol of Great Britain? (London)

So, the first stop of our travelling will be London.
Найдите Россию на ваших глобусах. Столица  России  – Москва.
Следующая остановка будет Москва.
Try to find Russia on your globes and of course you know the capitol of Russia, it is ………(Moscow) 
The second stop of our travelling will be Moscow
I hоре that you'll enjoy our travelling and have а good time. During our travelling you'll have to do some tasks to find out the differences and similarities in traditions of celebrating New Year in Great Britain and Russia . For the correct answers Iיll give you these snowflakes and of course you will get presents at the end of our travelling.

Учитель : В Бри­та­нии Новый год  имеет мень­шее зна­че­ние, чем Рож­де­ство, од­на­ко и у этого празд­ни­ка есть ин­те­рес­ные тра­ди­ции.
Самой по­пу­ляр­ной счи­та­ет­ся при­ме­та «пер­во­го че­ло­ве­ка» или Пер­вой ноги (first foot). Счи­та­ет­ся, что если пер­вым в дом зай­дет вы­со­кий тем­но­во­ло­сый муж­чи­на, то новый год будет удач­ным! Очень хо­ро­шо, если он при­не­сет ста­кан чи­стой воды, ку­со­чек угля — это к бла­го­по­лу­чию в новом году.
A еще ан­гли­чане на новый год дают но­во­год­ние обе­ща­ния (a New Year's resolution), они обе­ща­ют из­ба­вить­ся от вред­ных при­вы­чек, бе­гать по утрам, а дети обе­ща­ют весь год хо­ро­шо учить­ся и ра­до­вать ро­ди­те­лей сво­и­ми успе­ха­ми.
Важ­ная часть празд­но­ва­ния Но­во­го Года в Ве­ли­ко­бри­та­нии – это му­зы­ка, танцы и фей­ер­вер­ки (fireworks), а также боль­шой парад, в ко­то­ром при­ни­ма­ет уча­стие много ар­ти­стов, чтобы сде­лать это со­бы­тие вы­да­ю­щим­ся.
Учащиеся выполняют задание   «Чьё солнышко светит ярче ?  (одно предложение с новым словом – один луч) побеждает команда у которой самое яркое солнышко.

1. Несколько учащихся рассказывают о традициях празднования Нового Года в Великобритании, иллюстрируя слайдами мультимедиа презентации .

Christmas in Great Britain.
Christmas Day, December 25, is the most popular holiday in Great Britain. It is a family holiday. Relatives* and friends give each other presents.
People prepare for this holiday very carefully*. They decorate their houses with Christmas trees. People decorate them with fairy lights and small toys.
On the Christmas Eve children hang their stockings, so that Santa Claus could put presents into them oranges, sweets and nuts.
Carol singing is an essential* part of Christmas. People sing carols during Christmas since* the fifteenth century*.
Usually children come to the front doors and start singing carols and people who live in these houses give children candies and nuts.
A typical Christmas lunch includes* turkey and pudding. After lunch people watch the Queen’s Christmas speech* on TV.
So, Christmas is a merry family holiday for all the people of Great Britain.

Be attentive because at the end of there speech youיll have to name the main New Year meal, symbol and tradition in Russia and write down your answers into your crossword puzzle.
New Year in Russia.  (Новый год в России)
   The history of celebration New Year in Russia is very interesting. Before the fifteenth century people celebrated New Year on the 1^st of March. Since the fifteenth century people began to celebrate it on the 1^st of September. And since 1700 Peter the 1^st established the celebration of New Year on the 1^st of January as in other European countries.
New Year is the favourite  holiday for Russian people. Every family comes together at the New Year supper.The New Year table consists of the Russian salad (салат Оливье), fried chicken and of course thereיs a lot of sweets and desserts.«Father Frost» (Дед Мороз) and a fIr-tree - are the symbols of New Year. «Father Frost» comes into the house at night and leaves gifts for children. Children usually write letters to «Father Frost»  and ask him for the present they would like to get on New Year.
There are a lot of traditions of celebrating New Year in Russia, but the most important is to give presents to your relatives and friends. And donיt forget, that the hand-made present is the best!
